Origin:
The Yucca comes from the agave-like family, the Agavaceae, which also includes residential plants such as Dracaena, Beaucarnea and Cordyline B EHOREN. Nature naturally occurs in warm and dry areas in North and South America and the Caribbean. The plants often have thick, leathery leaves with a sharp point and white flowers. These leaves grow from the earth or on one or more stems.
Production of the Yucca de Storsmen for the Yucca are imported from South America. The plants grow on coffee plantations where they provide the coffee plants with shade. Yuccas grow around 30 centimeters a year and are pruned after a few years. The "prunings" is then potted in Europe and after forming the leaf rosettes, the Yucca can be sold as a residential plant. 
Location:
Preferably a light place, does not have to be directly in the sun. Can also be at a half -shadow site. The plant can be used as a balcony and terrace plant. It does not tolerate temperature lower than 8 degrees Celsius and is suitable as a plant in cool spaces such as a bedroom.
Power supply:
Fertilize weekly in the growing period (April to August).
Water gift:
Giving moderate water, in the growing period (April to August) some more water than in the winter. Soil may dry out something. Plant may not stand in the water with its feet after water gift.
Remark:
When the plant is inside for some time, it is advisable to take the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth. The Yucca naturally flourishes once a year after the dry season. The flowers of the Yucca are processed as a delicacy in salads.
