    5 Gloriosa Red

    Product Details

    Description

Gloriosa vase full of flaming fireballs
Whether you find the flamboyant version in pink -red with saffron yellow or the orange with light yellow edges, the gloriosa is always sensational.
Just like a tranquil butterfly you don't know what you see: the gloriosa combines a delicate, fresh green stalk with graceful green -yellow stampers that dance at the bottom (!). Above that, six wavy flaming petals grow that open to you during flowering like a tranquil butterfly. In short, design by Nature when Nature had a very good day. There are two types: short with a clean stalk and somewhat longer with leaves and branches. Beautiful in bouquets, but certainly so beautiful in small vases and tea glasses, spread throughout your house.
Symbolism The gloriosa is a botanical outsider: a tuber that emerges into a spectacular climber. She pulls herself up with small curls on the points of the leaves, who are looking higher up on a ladder, just like hands on a ladder. That is why the flowers of the gloriosa stand for ambition and success: they are the ideal gift for someone with a new job or who experience a new start in a different way.
Origin in the wild, the gloriosa, niece of the Lelief family, winds up in India and southern Africa. The official name is Gloriosa Rothschildiana, named after Zoolog Lionel Rothschild. The flower is also called beautiful lily, with "superba" as a second name. And not a word was said too much about that.
Care of the gloriosa - to protect the flowers, they are sold in an airtight bag. Carefully cut it along the side to take the flowers out. - Cut diagonally 1 cm from the stems and put the flowers in cold water with cut flowers, in a clean glass vase. - Preferably do not put gloriosa flowers in a warm place, the flowering time is greatly shortened. - If you want to save the flowers for a day to give them as a gift, you leave them best in the package and place them in a dark, cool place: the fridge.
You can order these flowers at Thuisbloemist and have it delivered.
Flowers are a natural product and can differ slightly from the photo due to availability and maturity stage.
