In nature, the plant can reach 30 meters high, the largest condition in India with a crown diameter of 131 meters and more than 1775 air roots. He does not make it that fierce as a houseplant, but it must be said: it can become a whole personality in the house. The plant belongs to the mulberry family and has been growing on earth for a long time, fossil remains of 30 million years old have been found. 
Symbolism Ficus Benjamina is also called Waringin or Treurvijg. Because of the figs that grow in the wild, Ficus in the Middle East is seen as the tree of peace and abundance. The seeds in the fruits stand for unity and universal understanding and knowledge. In the east of Asia, large, wild ficuses are holy: Buddha developed his teachings under such a tree. And in Indonesia, mourning ponds or Waringin is seen as a connection between the human and spirit world.
Care Ficus Benjamina likes to be light. The more colorful the leaf, the more light to plant, although it would rather not be in full sun.  Water the plant until the water meter is on optimal (opt). In the coming days, the plant uses the water and the water level drops to minimal (min). Wait 4 days when the water meter is at least before you water again. Ficus Benjamina is sensitive to cold.
